The coronavirus pandemic registers 225,000 new cases and exceeds 639,000 global deaths

More than 15.7 million infected in the world, with Brazil and the US adding more than 60,000 new cases and India at all-time highs

For its part, Chile has 341,304 infected people and 8,914 deaths, while the United Kingdom has 299,500 people with coronavirus and 45,762 fatalities.

Then, Iran accumulates 286,523 positives and 15,289 deaths, ahead of Spain, with 272,421 infections and 28,432 deaths, and Pakistan, with 271,887 infected people and 5,787 deaths.

Saudi Arabia widely exceeds the threshold of 250,000 cases, with a total of 262,772 infected people and 2,672 deaths, followed by Italy (245,590 cases and 35,097 deaths), Colombia (233,541 cases and 7,975 deaths), Turkey (224,252 infections and 5,580 deaths) , Bangladesh (218,658 cases, 2,836 deaths), France (217,797 cases and 30,195 deaths), and Germany (205,623 positives and 9,120 deaths) close the list of countries that exceed the threshold of 200,000 confirmed cases.

COUNTRIES WITH LESS THAN 200,000 MEMBERS
Below the threshold of 200,000 cases are Argentina (153,520), Canada (115,115), Qatar (108,638) and Iraq (104,711), which exceed 100,000 COVID-19 patients.

Indonesia (95,418) and Egypt (91,072) are in the ranking ahead of China, the country where the pandemic originated and which accumulates 86,202 positives. Uzbekistan, Morocco, Nepal, Cameroon, Kenya, the Ivory Coast, the Czech Republic, Venezuela, South Korea, Australia, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ethiopia, Sudan, Bulgaria, and the West Bank have registered more than 10,000 positives.
