SD Huesca’s coach, Míchel, was “very proud” of the “family” that makes up his team and that he achieved promotion to LaLiga Santander this Friday, giving credit to his team and a squad full of new players at the beginning of season.
“Since I am a coach I have not won a game, the players do. This is the result of a long work by many people. We have never beaten. I am very proud of this family,” he said at a press conference.
The Huesca coach, who beat Numancia (3-0) and took advantage of the difficulties of Almería and Zaragoza to certify his promotion, highlighted the unity of his team.
“I stay with the family that we are. At the end of the game we were aware of what Almería and Zaragoza were doing and in the end we had the reward for a great job from this team,” he said, before highlighting the difficulty of recovering the category after just one year at LaLiga SmartBank.
“Going to First is very, very difficult. After downgrading it is even more difficult and this team has succeeded. With 22 new signings, with 7 professional chips on July 8th. However, the people who have been joining little by little we have been putting it within the staff and the group, “he confessed.
