The coronavirus pandemic sets a daily record with 154,000 cases and more than 420,000 fatalities

Accumulates more than 7.5 million positives with Brazil adding more than 30,000 cases and the US more than 20,000 in the last 24 hours

The new coronavirus pandemic originating in the Chinese city of Wuhan has registered 154,000 cases in the last 24 hours, representing a new daily record and bringing the total to more than 7.5 million positives and more than 420,000 fatalities, according to the latest balance from Johns Hopkins University.

According to data updated at 9:00 am this Friday, the global balance of the coronavirus amounts to 7.5 million cases and 421,516 fatalities in 188 countries and territories. The total number of people recovered exceeds 3.5 million, with the United States at the top of the list, with 540,292 people cured.

The United States continues as the country most affected by the pandemic with 2.02 million infected people and 113,820 fatalities, after a new rebound in the daily balance, which closed with 22,900 cases in the last 24 hours.

BRAZIL EXCEEDS 800,000 CONTACTS WITH MORE THAN 40,000 DEAD
Brazil continues in second position and registers 32,100 positives in the last 24 hours, which brings the balance to more than 802,828 infected people and 40,919 deaths. Russia remains in third position, with 501,800 positives and 6,522 deaths, after adding 8,800 cases from the previous balance.

In fourth position, India overtakes the United Kingdom with 297,535 and 8,498 deaths, after adding more than 21,000 cases in the last 24 hours, according to data collected by Johns Hopkins University. In British territory there are 292,860 cases and 41,638 deaths. In sixth place, Spain accumulates 242,707 infected people and 27,136 fatalities, ahead of Italy, which registers 236,142 cases and 34,167 deaths. In eighth position, Peru has 214,788 people with coronaviruses and 6,088 deaths.

Next, France records 192,493 infections and 29,349 fatalities, ahead of Germany, which accounts for 186,805 cases and 8,776 deaths, and Iran, which records 180,156 infections and 8,584 deaths.

In the twelfth position, Turkey has 174,023 people with coronaviruses and 4,763 deaths, followed by Chile, with 154,092 infected and 2,648 deaths, and Mexico, with 133,974 cases and 15,944 fatalities.

PAKISTAN EXCEEDS 125,000 CASES
Closing the group of more than 100,000 infections are Pakistan, with more than 125,933 and 2,463 deaths, and Saudi Arabia, with more than 116,021 and 857 deaths.

Below 100,000 positives, Canada counts 99,159 people with coronavirus and 8,071 fatalities, and China, the country where the pandemic originated, accumulates 84,217 cases with 4,638 deaths.

For its part, Bangladesh registers 78,052 infected people and 1,049 dead and Qatar has 75,071 infected and 69 deaths. Belgium records 59,711 cases and 9,636 deaths, ahead of South Africa, which has 58,568 infections and 1,284 fatalities, and Belarus, which accumulates 51,816 infections and 293 deaths.

Exceeding the 40,000 positives are the Netherlands, Sweden, Ecuador, Colombia and the United Arab Emirates, while Egypt, Singapore, Portugal, Kuwait, Indonesia, Kuwait, Switzerland and Ukraine accumulate more than 30,000.

For their part, Poland, Ireland, Argentina, the Philippines, Afghanistan, Romania and the Dominican Republic exceed 20,000 coronavirus positives, ahead of Israel, Oman, Panama, Bahrain, Japan, Austria, Iraq, Bolivia, Armenia, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Denmark, Serbia, South Korea, Algeria, Ghana and Moldova, which have more than 10,000 infections.

The Czech Republic exceeds 9,000 cases and Azerbaijan, Cameroon, Norway, Guatemala, Morocco and Malaysia have more than 8,000 positives. Then Honduras, Australia and Finland exceed 7,000 cases and Sudan exceeds 6,000.
