Messi, Cristiano and Neymar, the highest-paid footballers in the world

Simeone repeats as the best-paid coach

For yet another year, FC Barcelona striker Leo Messi heads the list of the highest-paid footballers in the world according to ‘France Football’ magazine, while Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and Brazilian Neymar Jr. continue on the salary podium.

The classification, which the French media has done every year since 1999, states that the Argentine player will enter this season about 131 million euros, one more than last year, between salary, bonuses and advertising revenue. This allows you to revalidate your first place on the list.

Behind is Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who will pocket 118 million, five more than last year, and third is the footballer for Paris-Saint Germain Neymar, with 95 (+4.5).

As for the coaches, the Atlético de Madrid coach, the Argentine Diego Pablo Simeone, despite entering half a million less, is still the best paid, with 40.5. Behind him are the coach of Inter Milan, the Italian Antonio Conte, with 30 million, and that of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, with 27.5.

Figures that contrast with those of women’s football, where the American international Carli Lloyd, who is a member of the Sky Blue Football Club, is the best paid with 480,000 euros, followed by her compatriot and current female Golden Ball, Megan Rapinoe ( Reign FC, € 415,000) and Norway’s Ada Hegerberg (Olympique de Lyon, € 400,000).
