Israel urges tourists to leave the country “in the next few days”

The Government of Israel has urged tourists to leave the country “in the next few days”, within the framework of measures to contain the expansion of the coronavirus and that have already resulted in isolation orders for those arriving from potentially dangerous areas, including Spain.

“Tourists in Israel will be given time to leave in an orderly manner in the coming days,” the Ministry of Health announced in a statement, without detailing an exact date.

The Executive has also urged all visitors who show symptoms of a possible infection to contact emergency services. In general terms, the Ministry recommends following hygiene guidelines, avoiding crowds and informing of your travel itinerary.

The authorities have raised the number of cases of new coronaviruses confirmed in Israel above fifty. Among those affected are people arriving from Spain.
