Omio has announced its launch in the United States and Canada within the international expansion plan it has made in 2019 with the acquisition of Rome2Rio.
From now on, Omio customers will be able to use their website or their application to compare prices, schedules, duration and so on routes from both countries, as well as to plan trips to Europe.
For this first phase, Omio will offer tickets for more than 23,000 train, bus and flight routes in association with transportation providers such as Amtrak, VIA Rail Canada, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, Our Bus or Academy.
Less than a year ago, Omio went through a brand change in which it stopped being called GoEuro as part of its global growth strategy to integrate transport inventory outside Europe into its product. As part of the same strategy, at the end of 2019 it acquired Rome2rio, a travel planning platform that offers transportation services between more than 10 million locations worldwide.
