WHAT:
We invite Orlando residents to the Orlando Mayor’s Swearing Ceremony and district 2, 4 and 6 commissioners. The ceremony swears to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, District 2 Commissioner Tony Ortiz, District 4 Commissioner Patty Sheehan and District 6 commissioner Bakari F. Burns for a term of four years on the City Council.
WHY:
The Swearing Ceremony reaffirms the commitment of each elected and re-elected official to faithfully perform the functions of the mayor and commissioners of the city of Orlando. The Statutes of the Municipality of Orlando stipulate that the mayor and city commissioners swear before they begin their duties.
