Rosalía and Alejandro Sanz triumph in the Latin Grammy

Rosalía and Alejandro Sanz were two of the winners of the Latin Grammy 2019 held in Las Vegas, when they won three awards that, in the case of the Catalan artist, join two others achieved in technical categories.

“As a musician there is nothing that gives you more pride than a Grammy, it is the best thing that can happen to you,” Rosalía said as he climbs to pick up one of his awards, the one of Best urban song for ‘With height’ with J Balvin . The other two awards have been those of Album of the year and Best contemporary vocal pop album, both for ‘El mal querer’.

During his speech of thanks, Rosalia has starred in one of the fun moments of the gala by mixing English with Spanish. “I mix everything because I can no longer supply. Thanks to my fans for hugging my compositions, I love you,” he added. ‘El mal querer’ has also won other awards in the categories of Best Packaging Design and Best Recording Engineering for an album.

Another of the winners of the night was Alejandro Sanz, who has won three Grammys for Recording of the Year and Best Pop Song – thanks to ‘My Favorite Person’, along with Camila Cabello – and the Best Music Video Version Long for ‘What I was is what I am.’

“Three Latin Grammys of six possible that make me immensely happy. Thanks to The Academy for so much love, and thanks to all my teammates and my team. Long live the music!”, The musician pointed out at the conclusion of the gala.

Other winners have been Bad Bunny – in the category of Best Urban Music Album – Andrés Calamaro – Best Pop Rock Album, Best Rock Song and Best Meringue and Bachata Album – or Juan Luis Guerra – Best Contemporary Album and tropical fusion and Best tropical song–, among others.
