Russia accuses the US of increasing “military tension” with the test of a medium-range missile

The Russian government has regretted on Tuesday the test of a medium-range missile carried out last Sunday by the United States, denouncing that it contributes to increasing “military tension” and demonstrating that Washington sought to break the INF treaty for some time.

“All this is unfortunate, it seems that the United States has opted to increase military tension,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Riabkov told the Sputnik agency, who has expressed his alarm about Washington’s intention to increase its destabilization capacity. in the sphere that up to two weeks ago regulated said treaty.

“Conducting an essay in such a short period is almost impossible, only if it was not prepared in advance,” said the deputy minister, for whom the test shows that Washington had long sought to break the INF Treaty.

“This has confirmed that Washington has long carried out a propaganda and political campaign and made military preparations before its departure from the INF Treaty,” Riabkov said.

Washington finally broke the INF Treaty that prohibited the deployment of cruise missiles with a range of between 500 and 5,500 kilometers, signed in 1987 with the then Soviet Union.
