Airbnb proposes to recreate the “Around the World in 80 days” for 5,000 dollars

San Francisco, .- The company of short-stay rentals Airbnb announced today a vacation package that recreates the travel of the novel “Around the World in 80 days” by the French writer Jules Verne for $ 5,000 and includes transportation, lodging and food .

The tourism proposal is part of a new service of the platform baptized Airbnb Adventures – an expansion of the existing service Airbnb Experiences focused on the sale of packages with activities beyond the accommodation – and uses the extensive network of hosts who rent their properties around the world.

Thus, following in the footsteps of Phileas Fogg and his assistant Jean Passepartout, the participants will leave London on September 1 of this year and will go around the globe going through a total of 18 countries, until returning to the English capital on November 19 , exactly after 80 days.

The means of transport will include airplanes, ships, helicopters, cars and at least one balloon ride, and the countries visited will be the United Kingdom, Romania, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Jordan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, China, Australia , New Zealand, Japan, the United States, Ecuador, Chile and Iceland.

In addition to travel, lodging and meals, the tour package includes activities and visits in each of the destinations such as the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, a cruise on the Nile River in Egypt and field trips in Australia.

The price of $ 5,000 does not include the return flight to London (in case of not residing in that city) and those who want to participate in this experience may request an online reservation from next June 20, although the company did not specify How many places will it open or how will it be allocated in case the demand exceeds the offer?

“As in the famous French novel by Jules Verne, ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ begins and ends in London, but unlike the protagonist of the book, here the only thing you play is to miss a unique travel opportunity in life, “said the company based in San Francisco (California).
