San Diego (USA), .- Rookie first baseman Pete Alonso connected from four corners in the ninth inning and sealed the New York Mets’ 7-6 triumph over the San Diego Padres.
The Mets, who stopped a four-game losing streak, had Alonso’s battery (11), who connected back in the ninth inning with a runner on the way to seal the Mets’ victory.
On the mound victory was credited to Seth Lugo (2-0) in two episodes, allowing an unstoppable.
For the Padres the Ranger Dominican Franmil Reyes (10) hit the whole in the third episode, without teammates on the road, to punish starter Noah Syndergaard.
The defeat was replaced by Adam Warren (2-1) in two episodes. (EFE)
