Los Angeles, – “Avengers: Endgame” continued its triumphant march in theaters of the country to achieve 145.8 million dollars this weekend with which it retained without any difficulty the first place at the box office, reported today the specialized media Box Office Mojo.

On a global scale, “Avengers: Endgame” has already accumulated 2,189 million dollars since its premiere two weeks ago, making it the highest grossing film in history just behind “Avatar” (2008), which has the record with 2,788 millions of dollars.

In this film under the direction of the Russo brothers, the superheroes who remain alive after “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018) try to defeat the evil and, apparently invincible, Thanos (Josh Brolin).

Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, Chris Evans, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldaña are some of the Hollywood stars that appear in the cast of this blockbuster.

The second place was for the thriller “Intruder”, which with Dennis Quaid at the head of his cast scored 11 million dollars in his landing in theaters.

Two young lovers buy a house in the country, but their mysterious and obscure owner returns again and again as if the property still belonged to him.

Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen completed the podium with the comedy “Long Shot”, which in its first weekend on the big screen earned 10 million dollars.

Theron plays Charlotte Field, one of the most influential women in the world, who weighs the possibility of quitting her job as secretary of state to present herself as a candidate for the Presidency. At that time he is reunited with a journalist (Rogen) nothing conformist who cared when he was a child.

For its part, the animated film “Uglydolls” got 8.5 million dollars in its opening.

Based on the UglyDolls toys and voices in their original version by Pitbull or Nick Jonas, this film focuses on a world in which imperfection and singularity are not grounds for criticism but for celebration.

Finally, “Captain Marvel” added 4.3 million dollars.
