San Juan, .- The Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Kany García announced today that on May 17 will release his new and sixth album, “Against the wind”, which will have the contributions of the Spanish Joaquín Sabina, the Argentine Fito Páez and the Mexican Natalia Lafourcade .

Sabina not only offered his musical talent, but also as an illustrator, not only designed the cover of “Against the Wind”, but also contributing other drawings to the packaging of the album.
The first single of the disc is “Quédate”, and it is a collaboration with the also Puerto Rican Tommy Torres.
Of the authorship of García and Torres, this acoustic ballad “brings all the magic and chemistry that exists between these two talented artists who are dear friends”, as highlighted in the press release.
Both artists premiered the song on February 2 at a concert by Garcia at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan.
Filmed in Miami by director Joaquín Cambre and starring the same performers, the musical video of “Quédate” has exceeded 20 million views on YouTube.
Garcia, in turn, will participate tomorrow, Tuesday, in a panel discussion of Billboard Latin Music Week, which takes place in Las Vegas, with Pedro Capó, Beatriz Luengo and Sofia Reyes on the future of pop in the times of urban music.
Garcia will also perform live at the Billboard Latin Awards next Thursday.
Other artists who participated in Garcia’s concert on February 2 in Puerto Rico were resident rapper Natti Natasha and Pedro Capó.
