Los Angeles, – Madonna, who premiered the bilingual single “MedellĂn” next Wednesday to Colombian Maluma, announced in a statement that her next album, titled “Madame X,” will be published next June 14.
His new album, conceived during his residency in Portugal, will be the fourteenth studio album of his career and will come four years after the publication of “Rebel Heart”.
“Lisbon is where my album has come from, I have found my tribe there and a magical world of incredible musicians who have reinforced my belief that music is connected throughout the world and is the true soul of the universe,” said the star of the pop.
The recording process of “Madame X”, composed of fifteen songs that combine English, Portuguese and Spanish, has lasted 18 months with sessions in Portugal, the United Kingdom (London) and the United States (New York and Los Angeles).
Madonna has counted for this new work with producers like Mirwais, Mike Dean or Diplo.
In addition to Maluma, who participates in the songs “MedellĂn” and “Bitch I’m Loca”, Madonna has signed as collaborators for this album the Brazilian Anitta (“Faz Gostoso”); the American Quavo, member of the rap group Migos (“Future”); and also American Swae Lee (“Crave”).
“Madame X ‘celebrates Madonna’s long idyll with Latin music and culture throughout her career, among other global influences,” the press release said.
These details about Madonna’s album were released on the same day that the author of “Like a Virgin” officially presented her single “MedellĂn”, with lyrics that mix verses in Spanish and English.
“One, two, one two, one two, chachachá”, says Madonna whispering at the beginning of this song inspired by the reggaeton rhythm that has conquered the nightclubs of the planet from the hand of stars like Maluma, J Balvin or Luis Fonsi.
Madonna will unveil next Wednesday April 24 the video clip of “Medellin” at a ceremony in London with British DJ Trevor Nelson.
It is planned that Madonna will take part on May 18 in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Tel Aviv (Israel) (EFEUSA).
