The Dominican El Alfa: my success is for collaborations with Puerto Ricans

Dominican urban artist El Alfa, who will perform for the first time in Puerto Rico on October 5, said today at Efe in San Juan that a large part of his success is due to collaborations with Puerto Rican artists, specifically with the ragpicker. Bad Bunny for the song “La Romana”.

And is that according to El Alfa explained to Efe this Monday, after recording with Bad Bunny the song “La Romana” for the first album of the Puerto Rican, “X100pre”, his career has blunted more to achieve collaborations with other artists of great world renown.

“Since I met him, I wanted to record other songs, I realized that I was going to be a phenomenon,” said Emmanuel Herrera Batista, the real name of El Alfa, about the greatest figure in Latin trap worldwide.
Even El Alfa, known for its energetic musical style, was one of only three guest artists that Bad Bunny had for his first production, in addition to Drake in the song “Mia” and the musical producer Diplo in “200 mph”.

And, so impressive was the support that fans of the urban genre gave to the song “La Romana”, that Bad Bunny invited El Alfa to perform with him in his three shows that he offered from March 8 to 10 at the Coliseum of Puerto Rico in San Juan, where the Dominican artist will perform next October.

“I feel so surprised by the success a Dominican is having in Puerto Rico, and that El Alfa is achieving things that had never been achieved,” he said.

The first occasion in which The Alpha and Bad Bunny were united, was for the subject “Dema ga ge gi go gu”, that sent at the beginning of the year 2016.
“I am a person who works from the heart, I am not an opportunist.

I knew he was going to hit, but not like that. He mocked the world in 36 months, “said the Dominican artist.

Besides Bad Bunny, other Puerto Rican artists who have collaborated with El Alfa are Nicky Jam, Arcángel, Zion and Lennox, Tito “El Bambino”, Farruko, Noriel, Anuel AA, Chencho Corleone, Jon Z, Miky Woodz, Bryant Myers and Myke Towers

“They’re crazy with my jargon, they’re looking for me to talk to them, it’s a chemistry that goes beyond the musical and that we do not do in the Dominican Republic,” he said.

“I feel happy, because now they want to do what I do.

I feel very well for that and for the variety in the music “, added El Alfa, who said that yesterday, Sunday, he worked on a song in Puerto Rico with Bryant Myers and Myke Towers.

The Alfa, in turn, highlighted the admiration and support of Farruko and Tito “El Bambino”, who have told him on separate occasions that he was “making collaborations that we ourselves do not do”.

“You are bonding with artists that we have not recorded with, and you are riding it in a song, you do not know what you are doing, nor the power of what you are doing,” he said.

That is why, after several attempts to appear at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, El Alfa will do it next October, and where he expects to be accompanied by a good range of Puerto Rican artists with whom he has collaborated in his eleven-year career.

“I want that flavor and that essence to be, and the league of singers that has always given me affection”, said the singer of “Suave”, “Arrived el morena”, “La pongo fina”, “Pal de velitas”, “Fuin Fuan”, among others.

In turn, the artist said he will try to make his presentation in October in Puerto Rico similar to the one he offered several months ago at the Palacio de los Deportes in the Dominican Republic, where he became the first Dominican urban music singer to fill that enclosure.

There, he had as guests the Puerto Rican Tito “El Bambino”, Farruko, Bryant Myers, the Dominican Mozart La Para, among others.

The Alfa ahead of Efe that soon will release a single next to the Cuban-American Pitbull and the veteran Puerto Rican reggaeton Tito “El Bambino”, in a theme that will start in the tropical style, will continue in “house” and will culminate in the dembow with which Characterizes the Dominican.

“We are covered with many positive things,” said El Alfa, who also admitted that he achieved his support in Chile for the collaborations with the Puerto Rican artists and that, for that reason, now Chileans prefer to listen to his “dembow”.

In addition to his collaboration with Pitbull and Tito “El Bambino”, El Alfa will soon launch a song with Puerto Ricans Yandel, Myke Towers and Rauw Alejandro.

“What is happening with me, we must take advantage of it and value it,” said the 28-year-old Dominican artist. (EFEUSA) .-
