Angeles, .- Almost two years have waited fans of “Game of Thrones” to see the last season of the HBO series, which begins this Sunday and has to answer, at least, two questions: who can stop the White Walkers and who will finally sit on the Iron Throne.
Everything that surrounds “Game of Thrones”, the most ambitious series in the history of television, is measured with gigantic magnitudes and points to the superlative, whether the global expectation of how it will end, the secrecy with which it was shot, the figures and budget of your production or the prizes you have won along the way.
Perhaps for that reason there is a certain bittersweet air among his followers to know that the eighth season will only have six episodes.
Of course, these chapters will have durations above the usual: the shortest will be 54 minutes and the longest will be 82.

There are very few things known about the end of “Game of Thrones”, but one thing is clear: the confrontation between the King of the Night, commanding his army of the dead, and the great majority of the idols of the series on the other side is served .
The magazine Entertainment Weekly attended the filming of this huge battle that aspires to be one of the most spectacular moments in the history of the small screen.
It is known that in that final fight will be favorites of the public like Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) or Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner).
Miguel Sapochnik, the director of the excellent episode “Battle of the Bastards” of the sixth season, was in charge of the chapter of this battle that was shot for eleven weeks in Northern Ireland, with 750 people at the foot of the canyon, much of it the main characters involved, and with nighttime temperatures skirting the negative values.
“The hard work is worth it in this series, after one of those really hard days, you know it’s going to be part of something very iconic and it will look amazing,” said Maisie Williams.
One of the fundamental challenges of this last season will be to intertwine with sense the multiple parallel plots that the series has handled throughout its seven seasons.
The last thing the fans saw was the fall of the emblematic Wall and the arrival of the Night King and his troops, a moment that also served to discover that the only thing more frightening than a dragon of Daenerys is another of those creatures converted into zombie, who spits blue fire and who is at the service of an army of the dead.
Daenerys and Jon, on the other hand, ended up in bed after several episodes playing between the formal alliance and the cheeky flirting.
But to their disgrace, and ironic smile of the spectators, they still do not know that they are aunt and nephew, respectively.
Cersei (Lena Headey) continued trasteando with its specialty of the house, the treason, something that took to a jaded and frustrated Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) to leave it to go to the north.
In the Lannister there are also family matters of the most truculent: Jaime, brother and lover of Cersei, leaves her behind while she is pregnant.
And much farther north, the juggling of loyalties and deceptions of Lord Baelish (Aidan Gillen) ended up costing him at the hands of Sansa and Arya, the two women in charge of the Stark house.
Regardless of the outcome, the epic fantasy of “Game of Thrones” has marked the era since its premiere in 2011 and is, with 47 awards, the most awarded series of the Emmy’s career.
He was ahead of the novels of George R.R. Martin in which he is inspired, to the despair of some readers, and recovered something that little by little has been lost in the era of Netflix and “streaming”: that half the world meets at the same time before the TV to watch a series and that the next day there is nothing else in the office (or on Twitter).
