The A’s acquire Morales from the Blue Jays

Oakland (USA) .- The Oakland Athletics acquired Cuban designated hitter and first baseman Kendrys Morales in an exchange with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Both teams gave a report regarding the negotiations.
The A’s said Morales, 35, is likely to cover first base, while Matt Olson recovers from a broken bone in his right hand.

Olson was injured on Thursday of last week in the second game of the season-opening series against the Seattle Mariners in Japan.

The player was operated the next day and the team did not provide a date for his return, although he is expected to be out for at least one or two months.

Morales batted .249 with 21 home runs and 57 RBIs in 130 games last season for the Blue Jays. (EFE)
