Victory of the American J.B. Holmes on the last day

The American J.B. Holmes has been awarded the Geneis Open golf, included in the PGA circuit, to win the duel he had with his compatriot Justin Thomas, leader until the last round.

It was enough for Holmes to finish his fourth and last round with 70 strokes, one under par, to take the victory after the debacle suffered by Justim Thomas, who after leading the classification for much of the tournament, failed at the worst moment.

Thomas, who was looking for the tenth title of his career in the Californian Pacific Palisades, went up to 75 strokes, four over the pair in a journey full of problems. Five bogeys and a double bogey on the 6th hole prevented him from winning.

The Spanish Jon Rahm finished in the tenth position after signing the pair (71) in this last outing to the field and add a total of 277 (-7). A double bogey in the 17th prevented him from finishing the tournament in better positions after reaching the penultimate hole with -2 to his credit.

In the same position that Rahm finished the Mexican Carlos Ortiz, who made a very good tournament culminated with a card with 69 hits (-2).

The twenty-fifth place was for Rafa Cabrera Bello, who also added the pair for a total of 279 impacts, three less than Sergio Garcia, who also paid the pair in this last day. He finished thirty-seventh.

The former world number one Tiger Woods was ranked fifteenth after adding 72, one above the pair, with four bogey and three birdies. Tied with him finished Bubba Watson, defending champion.
