Arrested immigrant and former member of Cuban government for visa fraud

Santos, who on Wednesday had his first appearance in a federal court, had been identified as a former State Security chief who served in the town of San Cristóbal, in the Cuban province of Artemisa, according to Miami Americatevé.

After several users posted photos of Santos walking around Miami in social networks, the Cuba Represor ID organization, made up of attorneys Santiago Alpízar, Willy Allen, Luis Fernández and Ricardo Martínez Cid, reported the case to the FBI.

District Attorney Fajardo Orshan said the detainee, who according to the media faces a prison sentence of ten years, faces a federal investigation for incurring falsehoods.

Federal judge Edwin Torres granted the arrested person liberty in the form of house arrest, with a locator, and the payment of a bail of 100,000 dollars.
