South Korean Ji wins in Florida and achieves her fifth title on the LPGA Tour

The South Korean Ji Eun-hee won this Sunday in the Tournament of Champions, played in Lake Buena Vista (Florida, United States), to expand to five the number of titles that hoarded in the LPGA Women’s Tour golf, including the ‘ major ‘US Open of 2009.

Ji, 32 and 32 of the world rankings at the start of the week, won the first tournament of the season with 270 total hits (14 under par), with four rounds of 65, 69, 66 and 70 hits.

It surpassed in two to his compatriot Lee Mirim and in three to the American Nelly Korda.

Ji Eun-hee adds this title to those achieved in 2008 at the Wegmans LPGA, in 2009 at the US Open, in 2017 at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan and last year at the Kia Classic.

The Australian Lydia Ko, who started the last round tied in the lead with Ji, finished eighth with seven hits after making 77 (+6) on Sunday in a day with two double bogeys and three bogeys for just one birdie.

The second LPGA Tour tournament is the ISPS Handa Vic Open, which takes place from 4 to 10 February at the Beach Golf Links of Barwon Heads, in Victoria, Australia.
