A New York Firefighter Celebrated for a Busy Funeral, Dead at the Weekend

Hundreds of people attended the funeral of the fireman who died Sunday night when he fell from a bridge when he was taking part in a rescue of a traffic accident in the New York borough of Brookling.

Steven Pollard, 30, rushed through the gap between the two lanes of the elevated road and fell 15 meters away hitting the ground, reported several local media.

The ice hockey team of the New York Rangers kept a minute of silence in honor of Polland whose funeral was held this morning at Good Shepherd Church, in the area of Sheepshead Bay.

Both his father and brother also work as firefighters in New York City, where they pay great respect to this body of public safety, especially since their work during the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center. (EFEUSA) .-
