Drake breaks the Beatles record with 7 songs in the Billboard Top 10

The Canadian rapper Drake managed to place seven songs this week among the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 list, surpassing the Beatles, who in 1964 simultaneously placed five songs on the top musical popularity list in the US.

According to the specialized magazine Billboard, the 25 songs of singer Drake’s new album, “Scorpion”, appear on the Hot 100 list and seven of them do it among the top 10.

“Nice for What” leads this classification, followed by its theme “Nonstop”, while the podium is completed by “I Like It”, by the Spanish musicians Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin, a song that was dethroned from the first place by the success of the rapper’s fifth album.

In addition, “Scorpion” was built this week as the first album that reaches the figure of 1,000 million total views in just one week.

The notoriety of this album has served to surpass the record that the Beatles established in 1964, when simultaneously they placed between the top ten positions of the Hot 100 list their songs “Can not Buy Me Love”, “Twist and Shout” , “She Loves You”, “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “Please Please Me”.

Even so, the quartet of Liverpool is still the only band or artist that has managed to win the top five of the Hot 100 list for a week.

The success of Drake “God’s Plan”, which remained for eleven weeks in the number one, is placed this week in fourth position, while in sixth position is “In My Feelings”, followed by “I’m Upset”, “Emotionless” and “Do not Matter to Me”.

In this last subject appears the voice of Michael Jackson, to which Drake precisely surpassed also this week in being the masculine soloist with the greater number of total subjects between the ten first positions of the list Hot 100 of Billboard.

In his career, the rapper has placed 31 of his songs among the top ten of this prestigious American musical list, while Michael Jackson did the same with 30, the last of which the posthumous collaboration with Drake in “Do not Matter to Me”.

Still ahead are the Beatles, with 34 songs, and the pop queen, Madonna, who has managed to place 38 songs among the Billboard musical elite.
