Starter Rich Hill pitched six innings and first baseman Cody Bellinger hit a four-cornered hit in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 9-0 “shutout” win over the San Francisco Giants.
Hill (1-0) worked six full innings, accepted five hits, gave three bases and struck out five batters to credit his first win.
Bellinger (1) hit four corners in the sixth inning, with one runner on base.
The loss of the Giants was carried by starter Chris Stratton (0-1) in five innings and a third, accepting five hits and three runs.
