The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reported today that there have been “several casualties” from a shooting in Orlando, while a local television station said five were killed, including the attacker.
Orlando’s Channel 9 (WFTV 9) quoted sources it did not identify, according to which five are the victims of an event they said, in principle, has nothing to do with terrorism.
The sheriff, who noted that the event is already “under control”, has promised to give all the details in a press conference that awaits with expectation.
According to local media, the shooting occurred in a company.
An employee of that company who locked herself in a bathroom when the shooting broke out and called her sister and said “my boss is dead”.
Traffic in the area has been cut off and there is a large police presence in the area, according to local media.
