Florida Neonazi faces charges of possession and storage of explosives

A neo-Nazi, linked to a double murder in Tampa, Florida, was indicted today by the federal prosecutor’s office on two counts of possession and storage of explosives.

Brandon Russell, who was arrested Sunday in the Florida Keys, faces up to eleven years in prison if convicted, the prosecutor said.

Last Friday, Russell, 21, had admitted to authorities making explosives when they went to his leased apartment in Tampa, where a double homicide had occurred.

That day, during the raid, Devin Arthurs confessed to the police killing his two comrades because, he said, they made fun of him if he had converted to Islam.

Arthurs, who said the four shared their sympathy for neo-Nazism, further assured the police that Russell in one of the online talks of these nationalist groups threatened to kill people and blow up infrastructures.

Russell was brought before a South Florida judge today, while Arthurs was arrested last Friday by agents of the Tampa Police Department.
