Billionaire Elon Musk accused US President Donald Trump on Thursday of appearing in the unreleased files of Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire accused of pedophilia and child trafficking.
“Time to drop the big bombshell: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That’s the real reason they haven’t been made public. Have a nice day, DJT,” he said in a message posted on the social media platform X.
On February 27, 2025, US Attorney General Pam Bondi released documents that had largely been leaked regarding the Epstein case, although “they were never officially released by the government.” Of the approximately 200 pages, none of them added anything new to what was already known about the plot.
Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on charges of sexually abusing and trafficking dozens of girls in the early 2000s. The billionaire hanged himself in his New York jail cell a month after his arrest, following a series of “negligence and failures,” according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
