Google has begun rolling out store reviews in Chrome, with artificial intelligence (AI)-generated summaries based on user feedback about online stores, aiming to make the shopping experience safer and more efficient in the browser.
This review feature will use data from Google Shopping and other popular review sites to provide helpful store information to users looking to shop on e-commerce sites.
The web browser will offer an AI-generated summary of this information, covering topics such as customer service, product quality, shipping, pricing, and returns, Google explained in a blog post.
To access this information, users should click on the reviews icon to the left of the web address. A pop-up window will appear showing general store information.
The technology company has reported that the goal of this feature is to provide users with a more “safe and efficient” online shopping experience, although, for now, it has only been launched in the United States.
