Trump declares victory in US presidential election and celebrates the beginning of a “golden era”

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump declared victory in the White House election on Wednesday and celebrated the event as a “historic moment” that marks the beginning of a “golden era” for the country, even though his victory in the election has not yet been officially confirmed.

Trump, accompanied by his family and his vice presidential candidate, J.D. Vance, celebrated his victory as the expression of his MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement, at a time when the projections of the major media give him the virtual winner against the vice president and Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris.

“It’s a movement like no one has ever seen. The largest political movement that has ever been seen in this country,” he declared from his electoral headquarters in West Palm Beach (Florida), before adding that “it will help heal the country.” “The country needs help. We’re going to fix the borders, we’re going to fix everything,” he said.

He stressed that “history has been made for a reason” and added that his campaign “has overcome obstacles that no one thought would be possible to overcome” and thanked the population for the “extraordinary honor” of being elected president again.

“I will fight for you and for your future. Every day I will fight for you, with every breath in my body,” he said, while promising again to “make America great again” and applauding the forcefulness of a victory that has not yet been officially declared.

“The United States has given us a powerful and unprecedented mandate. We have regained the Senate,” Trump said before pointing out that he had managed to “take the popular vote” and that “it seems that (the Republicans) will maintain control of the House of Representatives” and thanking the Republican president of the body, Mike Johnson.

Trump used his speech to say that the United States “has four great years ahead of it” and promised to “work very hard” to “turn the country around” and “make it something special.” “It is the largest country, potentially the largest in the world, by far,” he argued.

HE PROMISES TO “STOP THE WARS”
In this sense, he reiterated his commitment to “seal the borders” and authorize only the “legal” entry of migrants into the North American country, before defending that his campaign has been “the most unified” in the United States, integrating “African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, Arab Americans and Muslim Americans.”

“It is a historic realignment,” Trump stressed, who pointed out that “it is a common core around common sense.” “We are the party of common sense. We want to have borders, security, for things to be good, for there to be great education, to have a strong and powerful Army that, in an ideal plan, does not have to be used,” he explained.

The former president has defended that during his previous term “there were no wars, apart from defeating the Islamic State in record time.” “They say I’m going to start a war, but I’m not going to do it. I’m going to stop the wars,” he said. “We’re going to keep our promises,” he stressed.

Finally, he maintained that “God saved his life for a reason,” referring to the assassination attempt he survived during a speech in July 2024 in Pennsylvania. “That reason was to save our country and restore the greatness of the United States,” he said.

“We’re going to accomplish this mission together. The task before us will not be easy, but I’m going to use every ounce of energy, spirit and fight I have in my soul for the work you have entrusted to me,” he said, before reiterating that “the future of the United States will be bigger, better, firmer, richer, safer and stronger than ever before.”
