Harris calls on US voters to “turn the page” and leave behind an “increasingly unhinged” Trump

The vice president of the United States and Democratic candidate for the White House, Kamla Harris, has presented the elections of November 5 as the opportunity for Americans to “turn the page” and leave behind the unconstitutional policies of an “increasingly unhinged” Donald Trump, claiming that “there is a lot at stake”, when there are just ten days left until the date at the polls.

“There is a lot at stake in this election. If you look back, you will realize that this is 2016 or 2020. The stakes are even higher because, in the last eight years, Donald Trump has become more confused, more unstable and angrier, and it is clear that he has become increasingly unhinged,” said the vice president during a campaign event held this Saturday in Michigan.

Harris has insisted that “there is a lot at stake” in the upcoming elections and has tried to make the electorate see that they have before them “the opportunity to turn the page and leave behind the fear and division that have characterized” American politics “for a decade.”

“We have the opportunity to turn the page and chart a new and joyful path forward,” reiterated the Democrat, who has defined her adversary as “an unserious man” and has warned that “the consequences of (Donald Trump) becoming president again are brutally serious.” “Trump has violated the oath to defend the Constitution of the United States and, if given the opportunity, he will violate it again,” she said.

Trump, who has also been campaigning in Michigan this Saturday, has taken the opportunity to mock the appearance of the singer Beyoncé at a Harris event on Friday: “They have to use these people to get people to come. They thought Beyoncé was going to perform,” she said.
