The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has demanded that the international community recognize his victory in the elections on Wednesday, one month after the controversial presidential elections, as confirmed by the Supreme Court of the Latin American country, despite the doubts raised by the lack of transparency.

“A month after the victory of the Venezuelan people against the fascist currents, today we have to say it: Venezuela has triumphed again, we are at peace, united as a country, mobilized in the streets,” declared the president.
In this sense, he has questioned “what would have happened if those days” violence had “been imposed in Venezuela,” referring to the fact that there could have been a higher number of dead and wounded “if the criminals had won after the presidential elections,” although so far there are more than twenty deaths due to the protests.
Also, Maduro has maintained that “the battle” given “is for the truth of a country,” while “they have tried to impose a narrative of hate to justify violence and intolerance.” “But, today we say in the face of that narrative that the truth has triumphed.” and the love of the vast majority of the Venezuelan people,” he added.
The Venezuelan president reiterated that “they have tried to impose a narrative to justify violence, and they have tried to sow hatred to justify division, intolerance.” He also took the opportunity to criticize the opposition leader, María Corina Machado, who “lives off lies, off ego,” because “she believes herself above the law and the Constitution.”
Machado, according to Maduro, has made “a satanic pact with the gringos,” including the multimillionaire Elon Musk.
