Deep Dive Dubai, located in the Nad Al Sheba neighborhood of Dubai, holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s deepest pool, with a depth of 60 meters, snatching the previous record from Poland’s Deepspot, which has a depth of more than 45 meters.
The Deep Dive pool in Dubai houses no more and no less than 14 million liters of water, the equivalent of six Olympic-size swimming pools. The water temperature is kept at 30 degrees Celsius, a comfortable temperature that allows you to wear a thin wetsuit or simply a swimsuit.
Its inauguration took place on July 28 and Abdullah Alsenaani, 37, who became the first freediver to explore this record-breaking attraction, attended as a guest.
During his immersion, Abdullah discovered the recesses of the “lost city” that contains from a pool table, a table football, or a library, to a building with apartments or a Mercedes-Benz.
“I enjoy pushing my body to the limit, challenging myself to get out of my comfort zone and experience new adrenaline-fueled adventures as much as possible,” he said. “Diving in the Deep Dive Dubai pool was an incredible experience. I was excited to dive into this unexpected interactive mini-city that no other pool in the world has offered me,” the apena diver told abcNews.
Abdullah managed to reach a depth of 20 meters without the aid of an oxygen supply.
