Contee added that three other people have died from medical emergencies during the Capitol capture, although he has not specified whether the victims were involved in any way in the insurrection.
“A woman and two men appear to have suffered separate medical emergencies, which resulted in their deaths. Any loss of life in the District is tragic and our thoughts are with anyone who has been impacted by their loss,” the police officer stressed.

Another 47 detainees were violating the curfew or raiding private property.
