An investigation is open for the death of a Latin American by police shots in California

A man of Latin American origin has died after being shot by a policeman in San Bernardino, outside Los Angeles, in California, as reported by the Police itself, which has opened an investigation into what happened.

A police patrol went to a gas station at around 8:30 pm on Saturday after receiving a notice from a white man armed with a gun. “The suspect was carrying what appeared to be a black pistol. An agent shot and the suspect was wounded,” the San Bernardino Police Department explained through its Twitter account.

The individual was transferred to a hospital where only his death could be certified. “The suspect was finally finally an unidentified Hispanic adult. There is an investigation underway,” police said.

It has also been known in recent hours that authorities have opened an investigation into the death of a man of color, Robert Fuller, who appeared hanged from a tree last Wednesday near Palmdale City Hall, north of Los Angeles.

Thousands of people gathered in Palmdale on Saturday to remember Fuller, 24. Authorities reported the death as suicide, but later withdrew that version and an autopsy has been ordered.

These incidents take place amid the global wave of protests unleashed by the death of George Floyd on May 25 during an arrest in Minneapolis. The cop, Derek Chauvin, pressed Floyd’s neck to the ground for almost nine minutes. He has been expelled from the body and is being prosecuted for murder.
