Los Angeles, .- Eight seasons later and already crowned as the largest production in the history of television, “Game of Thrones” says goodbye this Sunday, paraphrasing Daenerys, between love and fear: the desire of fans of See the end and your fear that it does not live up to your expectations.
With the sixth and final episode of its eighth season, it was written and directed by the creators of the series David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, “Game of Thrones” will conclude a spectacular and ambitious story of passions, love, struggles, fantasy and betrayals that has captivated the entire world but still has enough ends to tie in a final chapter that will last 80 minutes.
And is that the fifth episode, “The Bells,” left such a trail of blood and fire that there are still many doubts about who will sit on the Iron Throne.

The expected battle for King’s Landing ended with the fall of the Lannisters and the final defeat of the fearsome Cersei (Lena Headey) who, however, had an emotional and sentimental death with his brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), man who loved her all his life.
But the headlines were taken by another woman, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), whose dramatic evolution in recent episodes has sparked heated debates in social media and the press.
Daenerys represented, to a great extent, the liberation for Westeros and the hope in a new reign from the Iron Throne and, although in his effort there was no shortage of killings and revenge, this character was related above all with virtues such as compassion and justice .
But, unfortunately for his fans, it seems that so much flight on the backs of dragons has affected his head, since, consumed by insecurity and fear of betrayal, he had no qualms about destroying King’s Landing and killing thousands of soldiers and civilians when the city had already blown its bells indicating that it was surrendering.
This facet without mercy of Daenerys, that the emparenta with the most deranged members of its Targaryen family, left in very bad place to Jon Snow (Kit Harington), its main defender before some Stark women who distrust very much of the aspiring queen.
Hence, for the last installment of the series is expected that both Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Arya (Maisie Williams) have a great role.
Become one of the few series that continues to gather half the world before the television on the same day and at the same time, a rarity in the times of “streaming” and platforms like Netflix, “Game of Thrones” now has to deal with a collateral effect of its tremendous phenomenon: the expectations of equal size that it has generated.

Nor did they help to lower expectations or the almost two years that fans had to wait between the seventh and eighth seasons or that the series broadcast was ahead of the books of George R.R. Martin on which it is based.
It will be very difficult to please everyone, but if the most pessimistic can remember “Lost”, a series that was also a worldwide phenomenon and whose end was quite controversial, the most optimistic can argue that “Game of Thrones”, in previous seasons , he reserved some of his best and unforgettable aces for the last chapters.
Either way, and awaiting the public’s verdict on its conclusion, the HBO overproduction no one can remove his 47 Emmy, absolute record in these awards, nor the validity of his epic fantasy universe, which will continue, at least, with a derivative series (spin-off) already in preparation and with Naomi Watts as the star of the cast.
