Seattle (USA), – Starter Shane Bieber pitched six complete innings and the Cleveland Indians beat the Mariners 4-2 in Seattle.
Bieber (2-0) pitched six innings, allowed four hits, one run, gave three passports and struck out five to prove victory.
With his victory Bieber improved to 9-0 in 12 starts in games far from his field.
For the ninth in Seattle, Jay Bruce hit four corners in the eighth inning and the Mariners extended to 20 their streak of games in a row hitting homer in the beginning of the season.
The homer made Seattle the 10th team since 1908 with a 20-game home run.
The ninth in Seattle now has 42 home runs, but is mired in a five-game losing streak.
While the Mariners lost with their starter Mike Leake (2-1) in six innings, he accepted eight hits and two touchdowns (EFE).
