Boeing laments air crash in Ethiopia and offers technical assistance

 New York, .- The American aeronautical firm Boeing lamented on Sunday the death of 157 people in the plane crash of Ethiopian Airlines, which operated one of its aircraft, and offered technical assistance.

“Boeing is deeply saddened by the death of the passengers and the crew of the Ethiopian Airlines 302 flight, a 737 Max 8 aircraft,” the company said in a brief statement.

In addition to offering its condolences to the victims, Boeing extended its hand to the Ethiopian airline by providing “a technical team” under the conditions of the US authorities.
“A Boeing technical team is prepared to provide technical assistance if requested and under the direction of the National Transportation Safety Board of the United States,” the note said.

An Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed on Sunday shortly after taking off from Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) to Nairobi (Kenya) and there were no survivors among its 157 passengers, of 33 nationalities, the company confirmed.
