Trump Announces “Authorization” to Arrest Anyone Attacking ICE Vehicles

President Donald Trump has ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to instruct its agents to detain anyone attacking an ICE vehicle and announced that they will have “authorization” to carry out these arrests “using all necessary means.”

“I fully authorize ICE to protect themselves, just as they protect the public. I never want to see a car with a law enforcement officer attacked again!” the US president said in a message from his Truth Social account. “Immediate authorization for arrest and imprisonment,” he added.

Trump stated that, while returning from his trip to Texas to assess the damage caused by flooding in recent weeks, he saw images of these attacks on police vehicles. “These new vehicles suffered tremendous damage,” the president said.

In this regard, he has ordered Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and “border czar” Tom Homan to train agents so they can confront those he has called “thugs” and “filthy.”

For her part, Noem thanked the White House tenant for his support and defended the actions of ICE officers. “Our ICE officers risk their lives every day to protect Americans,” she asserted on her social media account X.

This announcement comes after the border force raided a legal marijuana cultivation field this Thursday in the state of California, in which major clashes between police and protesters took place. The day resulted in dozens of people being detained, including nine unaccompanied minors.
