US President Donald Trump celebrated this Sunday the “monumental damage” caused by the US military’s attacks on Iran’s three nuclear facilities.
“Monumental damage occurred at all of Iran’s nuclear facilities, as satellite images show. Obliteration is an accurate term!” he declared on his Truth Social platform.
The White House resident also celebrated that “the greatest damage occurred well below ground level. Right on target!” Although Iranian authorities have not yet provided an update on the extent of the impact caused by Washington.
Hours earlier, IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi confirmed that Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan had been hit in the US attacks, noting “extensive damage” in Isfahan in particular.
“Based on the analysis of available information, the IAEA has concluded that there has been extensive additional damage in Isfahan, which has been attacked several times by Israel since the start of the attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities on June 13,” he said in a statement.
Grossi again called for a return to diplomatic channels and an end to hostilities. This would allow the IAEA to resume its “crucial” work of monitoring Iran’s nuclear activities, including its stockpile of 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium. “We must work for peace,” he emphasized.
