Former US President Joe Biden Diagnosed with “Aggressive” Prostate Cancer

Trump Says He Is “Saddened” by His Predecessor’s Illness

Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that has already spread to his bones, his office said in an official statement.

“President Joe Biden was examined last week following the discovery of a new prostate nodule after experiencing increased urinary symptoms,” the statement explained.

On Friday, he was diagnosed with Gleason 9, Group 5, prostate cancer “with bone metastases,” it added.

“Although it represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, allowing for effective management,” the statement emphasized. Biden and his family are now “discussing treatment options with their physicians.”

Last Tuesday, it was reported that a “small nodule” had been discovered in Biden’s prostate that required further testing. The nodule was discovered during a routine medical exam.

Biden withdrew from the presidential race due to age, and his successor, Kamala Harris, was defeated in last November’s election by Donald Trump, the current White House resident. Biden, now 82, was the oldest president in US history.

The Republican president, who was inaugurated for his second term in January at the age of 78, stated that both he and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, were “saddened” by their predecessor’s diagnosis.

“We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill (Biden) and her family, and we wish Joe a speedy and successful recovery,” he added on his Truth Social account.
