US President Donald Trump called on Congress this Friday to push for an end to daylight saving time, a practice he considers “a major inconvenience” for the public and “very costly” for the administration.
“The House and Senate should push for more daylight at the end of the day. Very popular, and most importantly, no more clock changes. This is a major inconvenience and, for our government, a very costly development,” Trump said on Truth Social.
The United States, which has four time zones, changes time twice a year: on the second Sunday in March, when Daylight Savings Time begins, and on the first Sunday in November, when Standard Time goes into effect.
