The Pope has “rested well during the night” and has woken up “shortly after 8 o’clock,” according to the latest update on Francis’ health released by the Holy See press office.
The Pontiff has been admitted to the Gemelli Hospital in Rome since February 14 and in recent hours has remained stable after the episodes of respiratory failure recorded at the beginning of the week.
During the day on Tuesday, Francis has remained fever-free, always alert, collaborating with therapies and oriented and, according to the information released by the Vatican, he is expected to resume non-invasive mechanical ventilation today.
