The White House bans the diversity, equality and inclusion program, considering it to be “discriminatory”

The White House announced on Tuesday the ban on the federal government’s diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) programs, thus fulfilling the promise of the US president, Donald Trump, who has described these projects as “discriminatory.”

The Trump Administration has indicated that by ending the DEI, hiring and promotions will “reward” individual skills and performance, improving “efficiency,” reducing expenses and requiring subcontractors to comply with the laws. Thus, it prohibits those who hire from having to balance the workforce “based on race, sex, gender identity, sexual preference or religion.”

The new US authorities have considered that this executive order “reaffirms” the values of “individual dignity, hard work and excellence” by putting “an end to the unconstitutional and deeply degrading equity mandates” of the Administration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. “DEI radicals have dangerously contaminated many of our critical companies and influential institutions, including the federal government,” he said.

He also said that, “in the private sector, many corporations and universities use DEI as an excuse for biased and illegal employment practices and illegal admissions preferences, ignoring the fact that the rhetoric and founding ideas of DEI foster hostility and authoritarianism between groups.”

However, he criticized that “billions of dollars are spent annually on DEI, but instead of reducing prejudice and promoting inclusion, they create and amplify prejudiced hostility and exacerbate interpersonal conflicts.” “Every man and woman should have the opportunity to go as far as their hard work, individual initiative and competence can take them,” he concluded.

“Today, Trump signed a historic executive order that protects the civil rights of all Americans and expands individual opportunity by ending the sweeping preference for IEDs in federal hiring and directing federal agencies to relentlessly combat discrimination in the private sector,” a statement said.

Washington noted that “this order enforces federal statutes and faithfully advances the Constitution’s promise of equality before the law regardless of color.” “Trump promised to end IEDs in the federal government, protect equal opportunity, and force schools to end discriminatory admissions policies, and he delivered,” his office said.
