At least nine Palestinians killed, including three children, in IDF airstrikes in Gaza Strip

At least nine Palestinian civilians, including three children, have been killed and an as yet undetermined number injured in the early hours of Saturday morning as a result of a new wave of airstrikes by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on different parts of the Gaza Strip.

Correspondents from the Wafa news agency reported that one of the airstrikes during the night hit a family home located in the Al Maghazi refugee camp, in the center of the Palestinian enclave, whose victims have been transferred to Al Aqsa hospital, in the neighboring city of Deir al-Bala.

In addition, the Israeli air force also fired on tents in a refugee settlement in Mawasi, in the city of Rafah, in the south of the Strip. On this occasion, the wounded have been taken to Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Yunis.

The Gazan Ministry of Health, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), has raised this Friday to more than 45,436 dead and 108,038 wounded due to the offensive unleashed by Israel against the enclave after the attacks of October 7, 2023, including 37 dead and 98 wounded due to “three massacres” perpetrated by Israeli troops during the last 24 hours.

However, it has stressed that “there are still victims under the rubble and in the streets, since ambulances and Civil Defense teams cannot reach them,” before adding that the balances include only the victims who have been transferred to hospitals in Gaza, most of them out of service.

The Israeli army launched its offensive against Gaza following attacks by Hamas and other Palestinian groups on October 7, 2023, which left nearly 1,200 people dead and some 250 kidnapped. Some 810 Palestinians have also been killed by Israeli forces and in settler attacks since then in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
