At least one person has died and nine others have been injured in a shooting and fire that took place on Tuesday night in the town of Towson, located in Baltimore County, in the US state of Maryland.
“It appears that this is a mass shooting. There are several people who have been shot. At this time, we are determining the circumstances and the conditions of the case,” explained the chief of the Baltimore Police, Robert McCullough, in a press conference reported by the American television network CBS.
According to him, the first officer who arrived found an overturned vehicle on fire near a funeral home and found several people with gunshot wounds. “It appears that there was some type of incident that caused the vehicle to crash and catch fire,” he said.
The authorities have not identified the person who died or the cause of death, nor the condition of the nine injured people. There has also been no information on whether any suspects have been arrested.
