Zelensky denounces Russian missile launches as “terrorism” and calls for “seriousness” to intimidate Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called Russia’s latest ballistic missile launch an act of “terrorism” and called on his partners to join forces to “respond seriously” so that fear of retaliation prevents Russia from expanding the war.

“When someone starts using other countries not only for terrorist purposes, but also to test new missiles through terrorism, this is undoubtedly an international crime. That is why the world must respond seriously, so that (Russian President Vladimir) Putin is really afraid of expanding the war and feels the real consequences of his actions,” the president said in his daily evening address.

Zelensky has thanked his allies for the support received in the face of the “latest episode of Russian madness”, but has claimed that, “beyond words, actions are needed”, arguing that “true peace is achieved through force and “not otherwise”.

The Ukrainian leader has stressed that in the context of the war “it is the only party that does not want peace” and has pointed out that this is the reason why “escalations are needed”.

Thus, the Government of Ukraine has revealed that this Friday more details have been released about the missile used by Russia to attack Dnipro and has shown itself “aware that ‘comrade’ Putin will continue to intimidate (them)”. “He has based all his power on this”, he has sentenced, emphasizing the importance of “doing everything possible so that this war returns to Russia and makes them feel there what war is”.

These statements come after the Russian Government has assured this Friday that it successfully achieved the objectives of the missile attack The Russian President Vladimir Putin has used a medium-range ballistic missile used for the first time against Ukraine on Thursday and has reiterated that it is a response to kyiv’s use of long-range weapons supplied by the allies in the framework of the war unleashed in February 2022.

After the tests carried out with the new Oreshnik ballistic missile on Ukrainian territory, Putin has also announced this Friday that the ‘green light’ will be given to its serial production and subsequent distribution among the Strategic Missile Forces of the Russian Armed Forces.

The war in Ukraine broke out more than a thousand days ago and since then the conflict has progressed without a break, with the front lines practically stagnant, although with clashes also in Russian territory after the Ukrainian incursion on Kursk last August.
