The editorial board of the ‘New York Times’ describes Trump as a “threat to democracy”

The editorial board of the American newspaper ‘The New York Times’ has published this Saturday a brief message that describes the Republican candidate for the Presidency and former president of the country, Donald Trump, as a threat to democracy and incapable of exercising the command that he could regain in the elections of November 5.

“We already know Donald Trump. He is incapable of exercising command. He tried to pervert an election and remains a threat to democracy,” reads the message of the American newspaper.

“He lies without limit and, if he is re-elected, the Republican Party will do nothing to stop him. Trump will use the Government to persecute his opponents, unleash chaos among the poor, the middle class and businessmen,” adds the editorial board.

“Another Trump term will damage the environment, destroy alliances and strengthen autocrats. Americans should demand better. Vote,” says the board, which on September 30 already recommended voting in favor of the Democratic candidate and vice president of the country, Kamala Harris.

Trump and Harris are heading into the final stretch of the campaign in a situation of practical technical tie at the national vote level, but the Republican magnate still holds a certain advantage in some key states, whose electoral votes could end up granting him the return to the White House.
