The US government announced on Friday a new military aid package for Ukraine worth 425 million dollars (about 390 million euros) and with which it hopes to meet the ever-increasing demands for ammunition, weapons and air defense systems.
This is the 69th military aid package since the beginning of the Russian invasion. The arsenal that will be delivered on this occasion to Ukraine is part of the inventory of the US Army, according to the Pentagon.
The new aid includes air defense interceptors, ammunition for projectile and artillery systems, such as HIMARS rocket launchers, NASAMS surface-to-air missiles, or Stinger missiles, as well as armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons.
The Department of Defense emphasizes again that the United States will continue to work with allies “to meet Ukraine’s urgent needs on the battlefield and to be able to defend itself from Russian aggression.”
