Meta has expanded cross-posting of content to Threads, where it is now possible to share posts from Instagram and Facebook.
The technology company has started this Thursday the implementation of cross-posting in all those countries where Threads is available, such as Spain, after months of testing this feature, although it is limited to texts and links.
Specifically, it is an option that can be activated in the settings of the Instagram mobile application, which allows users to automatically share in Threads the content they publish on Instagram and Facebook, as reported in TechCrunch.
This novelty seeks to give a boost to Threads, the ‘microblogging’ application born after the fall of Twitter. It currently has 200 million active monthly users, but Meta’s executive director, Mark Zuckerberg, believes that they are “making constant progress towards building what seems to be another important social application.”
