Biden proclaims Harris will be “an extraordinary president” at their first rally together

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, and his current ‘number two’, Kamala Harris, have exchanged good words at the first electoral event they have shared since the change in the candidacy for the November elections. Harris will be “an extraordinary president,” Biden proclaimed.

The two leaders have taken to the stage in Maryland to defend the achievements of their Administration on the same day that an agreement with large pharmaceutical companies to reduce the price of medicines has been confirmed. “Kamala and I did it,” Biden stressed, sharing merits with his vice president.

The failed electoral debate at the end of the year raised doubts about the candidacy of the current tenant of the White House, who ended up taking a step back and proposing Harris as a substitute. With the replacement process practically completed, the vice president has been gaining prominence.

However, Harris wanted to put special value on Biden’s work during these almost four years and highlighted the “love” that persists among a large part of the citizenry towards the president, reports CBS News. “I think it is for many, many reasons, (…), including the expansion of access to health care,” she said.

“Thank you, Joe,” Harris said at another point, amid chants of gratitude from those present.
