Trump to debate Harris on September 4

Former US President Donald Trump has said via his social network that he has agreed with the Fox News television network to hold a debate with Kamala Harris on September 4, “with similar rules” to the previous face-to-face with Joe Biden, “but with an arena full of audience.”

“I have agreed with Fox News to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4. The debate was previously scheduled against ‘sleepy’ Joe Biden on ABC, but it was cancelled because Biden will no longer participate and I am in litigation against ABC Network and George Slopadopoulos, which creates a conflict of interest,” the Republican candidate wrote on the Truth Social platform.

The former president added that the aforementioned debate “will be held in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in a place yet to be determined” and clarified that “the rules will be similar” to those of his Biden debate. “But with an arena full of audience!” he added.

Trump has shown himself “totally willing” to debate Harris, despite the fact that the Democrats have “unconstitutionally withdrawn a candidate who was recognized as defeated and replaced him without hesitation with a new candidate,” a decision that the Republican considers “unfair” and “a threat to democracy.”

“Different candidates or not, their bad policies are the same, and this will be revealed strongly in the debate on September 4,” he added, defending that “this date is convenient and appropriate because it is just before the start of September 6, of early voting in the presidential elections.”

A “WITCH HUNT”
Prior to this announcement, Trump has denounced on the same social network the difficulties he has to face when campaigning due to “the severe censorship order” imposed by the New York Justice under which he “still” finds himself.

“(This) makes it very difficult to campaign, especially when crazy Kamala Harris is using this witch hunt against me,” the politician denounced, stressing that “all the leading scholars and legal experts have said that this case is a scam and a hoax” and that he did “nothing wrong.”

In this regard, the candidate for the White House has reiterated that “the judge had no right to do what he did” and has demanded that this censorship order – which he considers “a political decision” – be annulled “immediately” and “based on the immunity decision just issued by the US Supreme Court.”

President Biden announced his resignation from re-election after weeks of pressure and doubts about his ability to defeat Trump following his erratic performance in the televised debate, which raised doubts within his party about the possibility that he could achieve victory at the polls.

It was then that Harris stepped forward and ran as a candidate for the Democratic Party, turning the electoral campaign around and turning some of the polls in her favor, as well as the estimated vote in some of the ‘swing’ states, key to reaching the White House.
